Privacy Policy
Effective 12 October 2026
Perp Pit launches soon. Until then, this website introduces Perp Pit and lets you join the waitlist. This policy explains the small amount of personal data that involves, why we hold it, and your rights. We will update it before evaluations go on sale.
Who we are
Perp Pit (“we”, “us”) is a crypto perpetual futures prop trading firm, launching soon. The Perp Pit team runs this website and is responsible for your personal data (the “controller”).
Contact for anything in this policy: privacy@perppit.com
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist.
- Whether you confirmed it, recorded when you click the link in our confirmation email.
- Technical data sent by your browser when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested and the time of the request. Our hosting provider processes this to serve the site and protect it from spam and abuse.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not set cookies to track you. We do not collect payment or trading data on this site yet.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To run the waitlist: confirm your email and send you launch news, early access and launch pricing. Legal basis: your consent, given when you sign up and confirm. You can withdraw it at any time.
- To keep the site working and secure: serve pages, prevent spam and abuse of the sign-up form. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.
We do not sell your personal data, share it for advertising, or use it to profile you.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of trusted service providers, under contracts that only allow them to process data on our instructions: an email service provider (to store waitlist contacts and send our emails) and our website hosting and domain providers (to serve the site). We do not share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK and EU, mainly in the United States. Where that happens, transfers are protected by safeguards the law recognises, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Unconfirmed sign-ups: deleted within 90 days if the confirmation link is never clicked.
- Confirmed waitlist members: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, or until the waitlist closes, whichever comes first. If you unsubscribe we keep only a suppression record of your email address, so we never email you again.
- Technical logs: kept by our hosting provider for a limited period under its own retention settings, typically days to weeks.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the UK, the EU and US states such as California), you can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- stop or restrict using it, or object to how we use it;
- transfer it to you or another service in a common format.
You can also withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any launch email, or by writing to privacy@perppit.com. We reply within one month. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK or the supervisory authority in your EU country. We would appreciate the chance to fix it first.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. Confirmation links are signed so they cannot be forged, access to waitlist data is limited to the Perp Pit team, and our providers apply their own security controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you without undue delay if a breach affects your data.
Age
Perp Pit is for adults. The waitlist is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe someone under 18 has signed up, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy before trading accounts go on sale, because that will involve more data (such as account and payment details). We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for significant changes, email waitlist members.
